OATH TAKING CEREMONY OF COLLEGE UNION 2022-23
The oath taking ceremony of GCTE's new Union (2022-23) took place on 11January, 2023 at the General Hall 2. The programme was conducted immediately after the assembly. The Principal, Vice Principal, Teachers and all the student teachers of GCTE assembled in the hall.
Dr. V K Santhosh Kumar Sir, the principal, inaugurated the event and delivered the inaugural address. He congratulated all the newly elected members and also reminded their duties to be fulfilled. The principal also shared a glimpse of the various activities undertaken by the previous union, thereby motivating the new representatives to work better. This was followed by the Vice Principal, Dr. Joly S, delivering her felicitation. Then, Rosh Kumar Sir, GCTE's Physical Education trainer, addressed the audience and shared the general instructions of the ceremony. Then he went on to invite each union member to take their respective oaths.
Praveen Kumar, the Chairman of the College Union, took the oath first. The Principal read the initial lines of the oath which Praveen eventually completed. Then walked in the Vice Chairperson, Revathy B R; General secretary, Vignesh R; UUC, Sibana S; Arts Club Secretary, Keerthana Anil; Magazine Editor, Amal Muhammed and Sports Club Secretary, Ajmal Roshan, to take their oaths.
11 student representatives of each department took the oath next:
1. Jessy - English department
2. Parvathy - Malayalam department
3. Jennifa - Tamil department
4. Reshma - Sanskrit department
5. Gayathri - Hindi department
6. Sandhya - Department of Physical Science
7. Ancila - Department of Social Science
8. Sruthy - Commerce department
9. Rakendu - Mathematics department
10. Devika - Geography department
11. Kavya Sagar - Natural science department
After the ceremony, the principal invited the college union chairman Praveen Kumar to deliver his message. He addressed the gathering, asked for their support to the new union and also seeked all the assistance for the conduct of the various upcoming college activities. The program came to an end by 10.30 am.
