FILM FESTIVAL AND BEST FILM CRITIC COMPETITION A film festival and a film critic competition were held by the Film Club of Government College of Teacher Education, Thycaud, Thiruvananthapuram, on 23 November, 2022 at the UGC hall of the campus. By 3.30 pm, the student teachers and teachers of GCTE assembled at the UGC hall and the film screening began. Two short films were chosen for the screening - Aasai directed by Sam and Tippen Box directed by Karthik Gopal. Both were Tamil short films with English subtitles. The club had the plan to show the Disney animated movie Encanto as well; however the technical difficulties did not make this happen. PATHWAY - SOCIAL LIFE WELLNESS PROGRAMME 2022-23 The Department of Minority Welfare that works under the Kerala Government had organised a three day session with the title "Pathway - Social Life Wellness Programme" at Government College of Teacher Education, Thycaud, Trivandrum on January 17th , 18th and 19th, 2023. Our college was one among the selected institutions to host the programme. On the first day, after the morning prayer, Dr. Isaac Paul, Assistant Professor of GCTE, welcomed the gathering. Thodayam : Arts Fest Government College of Teacher Education, Thycaud, Thiruvananthapuram, witnessed an amazing, colourful gala, THODAYAM 2023 , on 21 and 22 February, 2023 at the UGC hall of the campus. The inaugural ceremony began with a prayer song by Mariya of I B.Ed. Mrs Asha Krishan, the Arts Convenor of GCTE, delivered the welcome speech. This was followed by Dr. V K Santhosh Kumar Sir, the Principal's presidential address. The chief guest of the day was Smt. Vinitha V, Lecturer in Dance, Sree Swathi Tirunal College of Music. She inaugurated the event and also performed for the audience. It was indeed a visual treat to witness the magic of her dance performance.
