COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP : ചിരന്തന 🍃☘️ - DAY 5 ( 16 February 2024 )
THE FINAL DAY

Day 5 began as usual with the aerobics session. This being the final day of our camp, we had mixed emotions. We were tired; nevertheless, we grew attached to the place so much that the thought of leaving it was not too easy. Undoubtedly, it was the food that we would miss the most.
THE FINAL SESSION
After the camp news reading, we had a short session with Harikrishnan Sir, whose work was totally in tune with our theme of sustainable development. He showcased some of the best crafts that he had created out of waste materials. His ideas were truly innovative and we really liked the session. It would have been really beneficial if a longer session with him was arranged, because there was so much for us to learn from him. Despite the time limitations, he sowed the seeds of innovation and creativity in our minds.
The curtain falls for ചിരന്തന
Finally it was time for the valedictory session. Along with our camp coordinators, Dr. V K Santhosh Kumar Sir, the Vice Principal of GCTE, and Dr. Jayakrishna Ma'am, were present with us. I extended a warm welcome to everyone present. All the teachers shared their experience of the camp, and the coordinators appreciated the student teachers for all their efforts and team work in making the five day community living camp a grand success.
The camp song was sung together by everyone. As a token of our love and gratitude, small gifts were presented to all the staff members of Grameena Patana Kendram. Special thanks were offered to the members of the canteen who made us delicious, healthy, and clean food all the five days. Also, the amount that we collected by selling the products was handed over to Dr. V K Santhosh Kumar Sir by Amal Muhammad. Asha teacher delivered the vote of thanks. A group photo was taken for the last time at Grameena Patana Kendram. After the session, we went to our rooms, cleaned it, packed our bags, and said goodbye to everyone. The five day camp ചിരന്തന thus came to an end.
My thoughts...
It was with a heart full of warm memories that I said good bye to the place. It was indeed our home for five days; a home that gave us happiness, comfort, and good food. Not even once did I miss home. Each and every corner of the place is special to me. I got to spend time with the people I Iove and admire. The late night talks and experience sharing sessions will all be missed. The hidden talents and interests of many came to the limelight. The journey of residing together is unmatchable. I got to spend whole days with those to whom I used to say hello at 9.30 am and bye at 3.30 pm. I experienced the love and mutual respect that we have for each other. The magical bonds that we have weaved, the good moments we have had, will all be safely etched in our hearts forever. That is when our camp ചിരന്തന acquires its glory. It is with everlasting films of memory that we walked out of our 'home for five days' - Grameena Patana Kendram.
